What’s on the card

The 3×5 version of the 4×6 blank: four ruled lines for the ingredients, then Method, Glass, Garnish, and a Source line. Three per letter page. It fits the index card boxes that every office supply store sells, which is the cheapest recipe box there is.

Four lines covers most stirred classics and every three-ingredient sour; the Mojito and anything with an egg white would need to squeeze. If your recipes routinely run longer than four ingredients, use the 4×6.

Why 3×5 at all

Because it fits in an apron pocket and a shirt pocket, which is why bartenders have used it for a century. A stack of 3×5s with a rubber band is a spec book. If you’re working a bar and want the house specs in your pocket, this is the one; the bartender notes on Mixed Spirits are about what happens to that stack between jobs.

US Letter, scale 100%, margins none, card stock. Cut on the dotted guides.
